My freshman year I joined the school robotics club. Resources and budget were scarce with four teams sharing one classroom and only two meetings per week. I was responsible for all the robot CADs as I was proficient in Fusion 360. We iterated through multiple versions (three of which are shown above), before settling on a pass-through design.

I began the season by designing the intake with the final version shown above. However, after we redesigned the entire robot, I switched to designing the turret with features worm gear drive and a goTUBE bearing for rigidity. I also fabricated the dead axle drive train.

This season I was responsible for the ring shooter. I prototyped different designs but settled on a dual motor shooter for more power. One major feature is the turret/bearing. I created a custom, fully 3D printable slew bearing that the entire shooter rested upon. I later modified the design to use metal ball bearings to increase wear resistance. This was also the first instance I learned to use parametric design, especially with 3D printer tolerances.
